It was written by Bill Hybels, Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg.

Chapel Hill have done Contagious Christian several times in the past, although it’s not currently on the menu.

While I haven’t used “Becoming a Contagious Christian” as an entire course, I have, with Willow Creek’s permission, used the course’s component on evangelism styles. I’ve found that particular resource to be a constructive way to help people appreciate that we all have different approaches to faith sharing and that there’s no one style better than others. Moreover people’s preferred styles reflect their gifts and behavioural approaches. The resource helps people discover whether their preferred approach is invitational, interpersonal, testimonial, serving, intellectual or confrontational. Of course, different styles will be appropriate for different contexts.

We used this course at Pine Mountain last year. The Outreaching team in particular attended in force. It has heightened awareness that everybody can in some way be a part of sharing the faith.
